Posting a brief that gets good applications
What to put in a brief, how proposals arrive, and how boosting a listing works.
A brief is a public post creators apply to. It is the highest-leverage thing you can do on Elev8or, because it turns one action into a pile of proposals instead of a hundred individual messages. Start at Post a brief.
What every good brief contains
- 1
The deliverable, exactly
"1 Instagram Reel, 20 to 40 seconds, product on screen in the first 3 seconds, 1 revision included." Vague deliverables create endless revisions later.
- 2
The budget or range
Briefs without a number get either junk applications or none. A range is fine.
- 3
Who you want
Niche, platform, audience size, location, language.
- 4
Usage rights
How long you can run it as an ad and where. If you skip this, you do not own paid usage.
- 5
Timeline
Draft due, revision window, live date.
- 6
What you will not accept
Anything disqualifying, said once, up front.
What happens after you post
- Creators apply with a proposal that carries their rate, idea and timeline. Applying costs them credits, which filters out mass-spammers.
- Proposals from Creator Pro and Elite accounts are surfaced at the top of your list.
- You shortlist, chat, agree terms, then convert to a collaboration and fund it.
Boosting
Boosting pushes a listing higher in Discover. It costs 5 credits for a collab job and 5 credits for a bounty or performance campaign. Boost a brief that is already well written, boosting a vague brief just gets more vague applications.
Repost instead of reviving
A brief that has been live for weeks with no traction is usually mispriced or too vague. Rewrite it and post fresh rather than boosting the old one.
