How credits work
What credits are, how you get them, exactly what each action costs, and what happens when you run out.
Credits are the platform currency for actions that would otherwise be spammed: unlocking contact details, applying to briefs, sending outreach, boosting listings. They are not money and they are never used to pay a creator. Real money moves separately, see How payments work.
How you get credits
| Source | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Signup bonus | 20 credits | One time, added automatically when your profile is created. Never expires. |
| Referral, as the referrer | 10 credits | Per person who signs up on your link. |
| Referral, as the new user | 5 credits | Added on top of your signup bonus. |
| Subscription | Monthly, by plan | Renews each billing cycle and expires at the end of it. |
| Add-on purchase | Whatever you buy | Bought credits do not expire. |
What each action costs
| Action | Who pays | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| View a creator profile in Discover | Brand | 1 |
| Send outreach email to a creator | Brand | 1 |
| Invite a creator to a campaign | Brand | 0.5 |
| Boost a collab job listing | Brand | 5 |
| Boost a bounty or performance campaign | Brand | 5 |
| Unlock a brand profile and its contact details | Creator | 1 |
| Send a pitch email to a brand | Creator | 1 |
| Apply to an Elev8or brief (proposal) | Creator | 1 |
| Apply to an external or public brief | Creator | 0.5 |
You are only charged once per target
Unlocking the same brand or viewing the same creator profile again does not charge you a second time. The unlock is permanent for your account.
Where credits go when they are spent
Every credit movement, in or out, is written to a ledger. You can see the full history under Plans and billing, including what each deduction was for and what your balance was after it.
When you run out
- Credit-gated actions fail with an "insufficient credits" message. Nothing else breaks.
- You keep full access to everything already unlocked, your active campaigns and collaborations, chat, and payouts.
- Top up by upgrading your plan or buying an add-on pack from Plans and billing.
