Creator marketing

What is Influencer rate?

An influencer rate is the fee a creator charges a brand for a specific piece of sponsored content, typically based on follower count, engagement rate, platform, content format, and usage rights.

There is no universal pricing standard. Common benchmarks include a $100 per 10,000 followers rule of thumb for Instagram, but this ignores engagement rate, niche value, and format complexity. A creator with 50k highly engaged followers in a premium niche can charge more than one with 500k disengaged ones.

Rates typically vary by deliverable type: a static photo costs less than a produced video; a TikTok with trending audio takes different effort than a long-form YouTube review. Creators should price deliverables individually rather than offering a flat per-post rate.

Usage rights, exclusivity, and turnaround time are rate multipliers. A creator allowing a brand to run their content as paid ads for 12 months should charge significantly more than for a standard organic post. Creators should publish a rate card to set expectations before negotiation begins.
