Collabstr Review: Is It Legit, What It Costs, and Does It Work?

Collabstr is legit and it works, with caveats. It is a real escrow-backed marketplace with a 4.5 Trustpilot score, but creators lose 15% of every order and brands pay 10% (or 5% on Premium) on top. It rewards creators who already have an audience. It rarely finds beginners work on its own.

What is Collabstr?

Collabstr is a self-serve marketplace for influencer and UGC work. Creators build a page and list priced services for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Twitter and UGC. Brands search, pick a service, and pay through the platform. Collabstr says it is not an agency and does not make you sign contracts, so you manage your own deals. Its pricing page advertises a search over 1.3 million creators.

Collabstr fees for creators

Joining is free and there is no up-front cost. Collabstr takes a 15% transaction fee when you make a sale, per its FAQ. On a $200 order you receive $170. On a $500 UGC package you receive $425.

Because the brand also pays a hiring fee on top, the platform's total cut is larger than 15% of what the brand actually spends. On a $100 listing, a Free-plan brand pays $110, you receive $85, and Collabstr keeps $25. That is the arithmetic from the published numbers, not a figure Collabstr states. Price your listings with the 15% already baked in rather than absorbing it.

Collabstr pricing for brands

Brands can buy on the free plan with a 10% hiring fee added at checkout. Pro costs $249 a month billed annually and keeps the 10% fee, adding one campaign post a month where creators apply to you. Premium costs $333 a month billed annually, drops the fee to 5%, and unlocks unlimited campaigns. Enterprise starts at $1,000 a month.

Is Premium worth it on fees alone? Going from 10% to 5% saves 5 points, so $333 a month only pays back at roughly $6,660 a month of creator spend. Below that you are buying features, not savings.

How Collabstr payouts work

  1. Brand pays up front. Collabstr collects the payment and holds it until the order is complete. Its FAQ calls this protection for both sides.
  2. You deliver. You can accept or decline any order, so you only take brands you want.
  3. Order completes. The brand approves the work through the platform.
  4. You choose a payout method. Collabstr uses Dots, and says you can pick from over 5 methods including PayPal, CashApp or Venmo.

Collabstr's FAQ lists support for over 35 countries, while its creator page says payouts reach 150 countries. The two pages disagree, so check the live country list before you sign up from outside the US. Collabstr does not state a payout timeline in the pages we read, so do not assume same-day money.

Is Collabstr legit? What reviews say

Yes. Trustpilot shows 4.5 out of 5 from 497 reviews, with 87% five-star and 6% one-star. Collabstr replies to roughly one in five negative reviews, usually within 24 hours. Trustpilot does not verify every claim in a review, so read the pattern, not any single post.

What reviewers praise:

  • Easy setup and a clean site and app.
  • Jobs found quickly and an organized flow from application to delivery.
  • Useful from outside the US, with creators in places like Serbia leaving positive reviews.

What reviewers complain about:

  • Delayed payouts and frequently declined transactions.
  • Slow or unhelpful support.
  • Unexpected card verification steps.
  • Subjective review criteria at the end of a project.
  • App bugs, such as trouble submitting work links or marking tasks complete.
  • Some brand briefs that seem odd or poorly matched.

One recent one-star review describes a promised refund that never arrived. We did not verify Reddit threads for this post, so we are not citing them. Scores are a snapshot from November 2026 and move over time.

Does Collabstr actually work for creators?

It works when brands can find a reason to pick you. Collabstr is built around listings: you set the services and rates, and brands book you. Brands on the free plan cannot post a campaign for creators to apply to, since campaign posting starts on Pro. So a fresh profile with no audience, no samples and no reviews will often sit idle. Creators who already have a niche audience, a portfolio of UGC samples or brand deals to show do better.
