How much is Kajabi per month?
Month to month, Basic is $179, Growth is $249 and Pro is $499. On annual billing those fall to $143, $199 and $399 a month, which is $1,716, $2,388 and $4,788 charged up front. Annual billing saves 20% on Basic and Growth and about 20% on Pro. Older articles still quote a cheaper entry tier, often around $89 or $149. The pricing page now lists only the three plans above, so ignore those older figures.
The pricing page does not state a free trial length for the standard plans. It mentions a 14-day trial only for a separate Business Launch Kit offer that ran from October 5 to October 13, 2026. If a trial matters to your decision, check what is offered on the day you sign up.
Kajabi transaction fees
Kajabi does not take a separate cut of your sales on top of the plan. What you pay is payment processing. With Kajabi Payments in the US, that is 2.9% + $0.30 on Basic, 2.8% + $0.30 on Growth and 2.7% + $0.30 on Pro. Kajabi lists fees for other countries separately.
If you connect your own payment provider instead of Kajabi Payments, Kajabi charges 2% on Basic, 1% on Growth and 0.5% on Pro, not counting PayPal, and your provider bills its own fees on top. So the cheapest route on Basic is almost always Kajabi Payments.
Kajabi limits that push you up a tier
- Basic allows 5 products and 2,500 contacts. Growth allows 50 products and 25,000 contacts. Going from Basic to Growth is a $56 a month jump on annual billing.
- Extra contacts are sold in blocks of 25,000 for $125 a month.
- Basic includes 0 AI credits. Growth includes 500 and Pro 1,000. Another 500 credits cost $15 a month on Growth and Pro.
- Admin users are capped at 2, 11 and 26. A small team hits the Basic cap fast.
What Kajabi really costs at $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 a month
Assume annual billing and an average sale of $50, so $1,000 in sales is 20 orders and each order carries the $0.30 fixed fee. For Elev8or Bio we use the fees on its pricing page: a platform fee of 9% on Free, 5% on Pro ($9 a month, $90 a year) and 0% on Elite ($25 a month, $250 a year), plus 5% payment processing on every plan. Taxes are excluded everywhere.
| Monthly sales | Kajabi Basic | Elev8or Free | Elev8or Pro | Elev8or Elite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0 | $143 | $0 | $7.50 | $20.83 |
| $1,000 | $178 | $140 | $107.50 | $70.83 |
| $5,000 | $318 | $700 | $507.50 | $270.83 |
| $10,000 | $493 | $1,400 | $1,007.50 | $520.83 |
Pricing checked November 2026. Kajabi Basic is $143 plus 2.9% of sales plus $0.30 per order. Elev8or figures are the subscription (annual price divided by 12) plus platform fee plus 5% processing.
The crossover is around $8,000 a month in sales at a $50 average order. Below it, Elev8or Bio Elite costs less. Above it, Kajabi's lower percentage fee wins, and the gap widens as you grow. Elev8or's Free plan is cheaper than Kajabi Basic under about $1,360 a month in sales, and Pro under about $2,085. If you sell a handful of products a month, Free is the cheapest option. Between roughly $1,400 and $8,000, Elite is.
Where Kajabi wins
Kajabi is a full course business in one login: course hosting, funnels, landing pages, marketing emails and access groups, with funnels, landing pages and marketing emails unlimited on every plan. Elev8or Bio sells digital products, courses, coaching and memberships from a bio page, but it does not run drip content, lesson progress or student management, and it has no funnel builder. If those are central to your offer, Elev8or Bio is not a replacement. See our Elev8or Bio vs Kajabi comparison for the full side by side.
Is Kajabi worth it?
Kajabi is worth it when three things are true: you have a course or membership with real students, you use its email and funnels instead of paying for separate tools, and your monthly sales are above roughly $3,000 to $5,000. At that level the $143 to $199 subscription is a small share of revenue and it replaces several tools. Below about $1,000 a month, the subscription is the largest line in your costs.
Who should pick Kajabi, and who should not
- Pick Kajabi if courses or memberships are your main income and you want hosting, email and funnels in one place.
- Pick Kajabi if you sell above about $8,000 a month and want the lowest percentage fee.
- Pick Elev8or Bio if you are selling your first digital products and want a free plan with up to 3 products and checkout.
- Pick Elev8or Bio if most of your income is sponsorships and the store is a side line. It also gives you a media kit and access to paid brand campaigns.
If you are starting out, the practical path is to sell on a free page first, then move to a course platform once sales justify it. Our guide to creating and selling your first digital product covers that first step.
