What is a viral creator?

A creator whose short-form videos consistently beat their own typical performance and hold viewers' attention. On Elev8or that is measured from outperformance, retention, consistency and engagement, not claimed.

What is the difference between a viral creator and a viral influencer?

Viral influencers are ranked on audience and brand results for collabs. Viral creators are ranked on content performance and retention, which makes them a better fit for UGC and paid ads where audience size matters less.

How is content outperformance calculated?

Each video's views are compared with the creator's own median views. A video at 2x the median counts as a hit, and the share of hits feeds the score alongside reach from non-followers.

The share of viewers who keep watching past the first few seconds of a video. It is the clearest early signal that content holds attention, and it carries 15 of the 100 points.

Can I hire these creators for UGC?

Yes. Open a creator profile and invite them to an Elev8or campaign. Payment is held until you approve the content.

How Elev8or ranks viral creators

A viral creator is not someone who got lucky once. It is someone whose videos repeatedly outperform what their audience size would predict. Elev8or ranks creators on exactly that: how far their content travels beyond their normal reach, how well it holds attention, and how consistently it happens.

Each creator gets a 100 point score. Content outperformance carries the most weight (30): how often a video doubles the creator's own median views, their best video against their audience, and the share of reach that comes from non-followers. Then typical views (20), measured as a median so one spike cannot inflate it. Retention (15): the hook rate, the share of viewers who keep watching past the opening seconds. Engagement quality (10), weighted towards shares. Consistency (10), campaign results (10) and reliability (5) complete the model.

Signals are ranked against creators on the same platform. When a creator is missing a signal, the score is calculated over the signals that exist rather than counting the gap as zero. The Viral badge needs a score of 72 or more and a real track record: at least three scored videos or two weeks of reach data. A single breakout is shown as Viral Rising until it happens again.

Viral creators are ideal for UGC, Spark Ads and performance campaigns, where the content matters more than the audience. Open a creator to see their work, then brief them through an Elev8or campaign with payment held until you approve the content.
